A second pastiche story. The War of the Worlds adaptation is set in a small village of south-east England close to the North sea. The Martians are dying of various Earthly blights. Their alien immune systems are unable to thwart the many germs and viruses of Earth. One fighting machine with it's dying Martian occupants arrives at the Essex village of Paglesham Churchend. the survivors decide to confront the damaged machine and its alien occupants.
