A Dash of Flash is an eclectic mix of stories, of both contemporary and historical settings, plus a few fairy tales and ghost stories added for good measure.
The eighty-five stories range from one hundred to a thousand words. Although most are around two hundred words, several are close to the upper word limit for flash fiction at a thousand words and another half dozen weigh in at a mere hundred. Story length is as varied as story-genre and the time period in which each is set.
The characters are many and varied and we join them at their times of joy or sorrow, remorse or loss. We can laugh at their foibles, commiserate with their grief and indulge with them as they reminisce. Or simply smile at the fantasy of the tale. We glimpse them all for a mere flash in time…
